This week was great, wonderful dinner with friends from church. Time with hubs, time by myself crafting, writing and shopping. Church service that I needed, and worship that warmed my heart.

Then there was today...Tuesday. Monday was smooth, nice day at work, great trip to the gym, home to see Hubs, but Tuesday, oh Tuesday you were a stinker.

I was chapped this morning when I arranged to go into work an hour and a half late so the plumber could make a few repairs. So when that magic window closed and the plumber was yet to be seen, I called the office. They wrote my number down wrong and didn't know how to get in the gate to the neighborhood. Really? Really?

I was frustrated and told them I had to reschedule and go to work.

I wanted to call and complain to the supervisor.... but I didn't.
I figured maybe he was having a bad morning, maybe he was flustered when I called the schedule the appt and thats why he took my number down wrong. Anyways, I held back and by the afterboon was feeling less emotional about it.

Yesterday I posted 10 of my favorite scriptures. When I was gathering those I couldn't help but re-reading them and thinking about how personal and powerful each of them was. How could I not be positive. I'm gonna try harder this week. Try not to loose my cool.

Tuesday 10: Favorite Bible Verses

After 2 weeks of missing church, hubs was off of work this weekend and we were able to attend together. It was just what I needed. I think that my Monday was so amazing, because my week started off in praise and worship.  What better way to celebrate that than to share. Tuesday 10 this week are my 10 favorite Bible verses. Hope you enjoy. What is your favorite scripture. Why?

died for us.

And how shall they preach unless they are sent? As it is written: “How beautiful are the feet of those who preach the gospel of peace,Who bring glad tidings of good things!”

DIY St. Patty's Banner

St. Patrick's Day is just around the corner. My friend Chrissy over at Boerman Ramblings post the most adorable wreath.

Head over there and check it out. I didn't have all the supplies on hand to replicate her adorable frame wreath so I improvised. I decided to make a larger version of the banner.

I found these super fun felt shamrocks at Joanns, There were $1.99 for a pack of 12. Which means I still have some left. If you are making this for your mantel then you might use them all up.

I have a huge spool of jute because I use it on LOTS of projects, but you can buy a smaller spool at Walmart for just a few smaller projects.  I hit up the used book store for an old out of date paperback thesaurus. I had a hard time at first with this project because I had to tear pages out of a book. I decided that I would have one book that I would keep to use for all projects that I needed it for. Of course I already have 2 more in the works.

Best thing about this project...no glue! You have instant results, no waiting for the glue to dry to show off your amazing creation.

#1 Cut the bottom of the pages into which ever pattern you like. You could go pennant, scalloped or flag style like I did.

#2 Fold the top of each page about a 1/2" towards the back.

#3 Place your strand of jute inside the hold and use your stapler to secure.

Each piece should look like this once stapled.

#4 Add your embellishment to the center of each flag.

Tada! All finished and hanging on the front door. Just a little something to dress it up.

Manic Monday: Bathroom Redo

I'm starting to feel like my entire house is a redo. Sad since we haven't even lived here a year and we bought a brand new house!
Okay for the house it self is perfect and I like it more everyday. We are slowly doing large scale improvements, we just had awesome plantation shutters put in the entire house. They are amazing!

So this week I conquered the bathroom cabinets. There are two cabinets in the bathroom that I have taken over, one under the sink and the other above the commode.

Above the commode: Before! I have an issue with getting my jewelry in the right place.

Under the sink: Before! I know, I know It's a mess!

After: I used the baskets I already had & just cleaned them out and rearranged. The glass jars came from Hobby Lobby {$5.99 each} and now hold all of my nail polish, The acrylic stackables came from The Container Store {$6.99 each}. I put perfumes I only wear on occasion in the top one and Feminine products in the bottom one. Guests can look in the cabinet and easily find anything they need.

The jewelry was a challenge, I picked up this sectional acrylic tray at The Container Store {$11.99}. It was perfect for separating out silver from gold and then rings, bracelets, earring and necklaces. I changed my towels from folded to rolled and they fit so much better. Moved non-daily items to the baskets under the sink and tossed some out.

All in all, I have to say this was a good redo. I like the way it looks and I can actually find things! I threw a lot of stuff away and it cleared up some space. My favorite part is the jars for my nail polishes. Added a little color and so much better than having them all in a make up bag.
