1LW #5 & Another Sermon

I saw this pin on Pinterest and decided that I needed it hanging in my office at work, my sewing room, and on the fridge. I think I will print it out and hang it in all of those places. This week was work, but the rewards of it were amazing. I decided that I need it in my new journal too!

I ordered a book that I think is going to help me focus some on what is important and not food! It came in the mail yesterday and I think my mom might be interested in going through it with me. YAY! Made to Crave by Lysa TerKeurst. It's A Long Story did a great blip on it a few weeks ago and you should definitively head over there and check it out.

Last Sunday we started an amazing series at church, it was moving and convicting and heart breaking. It made me realize a few things. It's hard to give up the things you hold closest to your heart. What if God's answer is no? I gave it to God, let go of holding on to it with a death grip and He said no? I pray that if that is the case I won't be heart broken, I think He will comfort me and that His plan for me is so much bigger than I could ever imagine.

I felt like after last weeks sermon, which I really hope you had a chance to listen to cause it'll rock your world, I had identified my idols. I was able to think of the things in my life and hand them over, easy, right?

Hubs was off of work this weekend which was wonderful, because I really enjoy when we get to attend together. As we stand there singing a new song I keep thinking about the things I want to hold on to, and I keep telling myself to let them go.

As Matt begins preaching, he starts by telling us that this week he wants us to leave being able to identify our idols. Now, I'm thinking, I already did this! Then he goes on to say that he believes that their are 4 primary idols we put in our lives, some us might just have 1, while others might have them all.

He goes on telling us the 4 idols and low and behold, I don't just have the 2 "little" things I disclosed last week. I have 3 of the 4 BIG things!

Comfort...Control...Approval

What a relief I felt when I could admit that I'm not much of a Power person. Now I have 3 huge issues! I'm working on it and trying to stay positive.

Never did I think that 1LW Wednesdays would make me think so much, would have such a huge impact in my daily life.

God is Good.

Here is the video from this weeks sermon. It's just as amazing as last weeks and I hope you will take the time to listen.
